Maintaining vehicle cleanliness is just one example (aside from regular maintenance) of extending the life of any vehicle. Doing so takes time and effort, and if you’re like me and have kids…and dogs, well it takes a lot more effort and time to clean the cheez-its crumbles and wet nose marks. However, when time is of the essence, there are three products that I personally use on a daily basis (yes, daily) that help with my vehicle cleanliness, and also my peace-of-mind. I know I’m not the only one out there who enjoys a clean vehicle, whether or not kids and/or dogs are involved. In no particular order, the three products I use on a daily basis are Chemical Guys Inner Clean Interior Quick Detailer, Chemical Guys Speed Wipe Spray Gloss and Quick Detailer, and Turtle Wax Upholstery Cleaner.

What I like most about these products is that they are very easy to use and clean very efficiently. This is a win-win for anyone, whether you’re looking to get the job done quick, or have all the time inthe world. For these products, I highly recommend using microfiber towels for both exterior and interior cleaning. It helps prevent scratches on the outside exterior of the vehicle (as long as there’s no debris on the towel), and they’re great for interior use to help with efficient wiping and excess removal. Chemical Guys, along with Turtle Wax, have several options for interior and exterior vehicular cleaning. There are several brands on the market that also have great products, however, these particular brands and products are my favorite.

Whether you’re looking for products to clean your car on the weekend from a busy week or a camping trip to getting your vehicle ready for a show…the options are limitless.
Turtle Wax dates back to the 1930s and was originally called “Plastone Auto Polish.” It was developed in Chicago, Illinois and since its early start, the company has developed several automotive cleaning agents that are used all over the world.
1. Chemical Guys Inner Clean Interior Quick Detailer
This product is great and easy to use because it can be used on just about every surface inside the vehicle. I use this product daily and as needed. Whether I’m using it to clean applesauce, dust on the dash, or smudges on my back glass from the pups, it gets the job done and doesn’t disappoint.
To use, simply spray the product on a microfiber towel or surface directly, clean the area, then wipe the excess off with the clean side of the microfiber towel. Repeat as needed. I use this on my 2017 TRD Off Road 4Runner on every surface except the seats since they’re cloth (my preference). I cannot be without this product. It’s a staple in my cleaning arsenal.
2. Chemical Guys Speed Wipe Spray Gloss & Quick Detailer
Another fantastic product by Chemical Guys is the Speed Wipe Quick Detailer. It is hands down one of my favorite products to use in between washes. It smells great, cleans well (I use it on the paint and wheels), and leaves my 4Runner looking amazing. It doesn’t remove scratches but is amazing at removing dirt and other grime…paw prints, kid prints, etc. This product can be used in direct sunlight, however, it’s always recommended to clean your vehicle in the shade if possible. As always, use a microfiber towel for the best results.
3. Turtle Wax Multi-Purpose Upholstery Cleaner
The turtle wax upholstery cleaner has been a staple in my garage cleaning arsenal for many years. It’s a cleaner I can count on. Lately, I have been using the Turtle Wax upholstery cleaner with oxi. It helps with odor control in my vehicle and smells fresh every time I use it. It’s great for cleaning car seats, upholstered seats, and carpets. Although this product can be used on other materials, such as plastic (instructions can be read here on their website), I prefer to only use it on the surfaces in the 4Runner that are sat on or stepped on (just my preference). When using this product, I recommend vacuuming the inside first, or whichever surface needs to be cleaned (seats or floor), use the upholstery cleaner (follow up with a microfiber towel to wipe excess), then vacuuming again the debris that was loosened or not picked up by the towel.

There are several products to choose from for vehicle cleanliness and detailing, and many of them do superb jobs. However, in my personal experience, the products listed above by Chemical Guys and Turtle Wax are my top picks, mainly because of how well they perform.
